AMSU demands inquiry into minority students scholarship scam

BONGAIGAON: The All Minority Students' Union (AMSU), Bongaigaon district committee burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minority Development Department Minister Ranjit Dutta on Thursday at New Bongaigaon.

AMSU demanded proper investigation into the minority students' scholarship scam. Gulzar Hussein from Bongaigaon district AMSU said that though AMSU was agitating since long demanding enquiry into the minority students' scholarship scam but the government had not shown any interest.

"AMSU has already informed the government about this scandal with proper documents and witnesses. We demanded inquiry into this scam. But surprisingly, the government is not doing any inquiry in this matter. Hence we staged protest against the government by burning the effigies of the Chief Minister and the Minority Development Minister. We demand that inquiry should be declared immediately," he said.
