Golaghat AASU takes out bicycle rally to protest against CAA

GOLAGHAT: The activists of Golaghat Students' Union took out a bicycle rally throughout Golaghat town on Tuesday against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).

Almost 200 students took part in the protest and promoted awareness against CAA by cycling throughout Golaghat town. Taking part in the rally, assistant secretary of AASU central committee, Manuwar Hussain said that AASU would never accept the controversial citizenship act and would always stand against it. The steps taken by the BJP government to settle illegal migrants in Assam through the controversial Act would never be acceptable.

The organization strongly opposed the Central Government's move for bringing CAA in Assam and demanded the government to withdraw the controversial Act immediately.
