Plus project at Community Health Centre launched: Arunachal

ITANAGAR: DRCHO Dr. Worar Taku along with District Nodal Officer of Precious Lives under Safety (PLUS) Project, Dr. Tana Natung launched the PLUS project at Community Health Centre (CHC) at Balijan on Tuesday here.

During the programme the pregnant mothers were sensitize on PLUS projects and its benefits. Altogether 15 pregnant women beneficiaries registered and availed the benefit of the programme on the day.

PLUS project is an innovative project of Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to reduce rate of the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the state and to encourage more and more institutional delivery in all health facility.

Dr. Tana Natung briefing the mothers, informed that the sole objective of the PLUS project is to ensure quality health service like ANC visit by Specialist, identification, tracking and timely intervention, ensure the provision of JSY, JSSK and PMSMA and to reduce out of pocket expenditure of pregnant women.

"PLUS project will also provide multi facility single window camps in convergence with Women and Child Development (WCD), banks, AADHAR, CMAAY and PMJAY," Dr. Natung said.
