Tripura: CM Inaugurates South Tripura's First District-Level E-Office System

AGARTALA: On Monday, Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the first district-level paperless e-office system in South Tripura district, marking a significant technological advancement for the region.

Speaking about this development, the Chief Minister noted, "We started with the introduction of a state-level E-office, followed by E-Vidhansabha and E-Cabinet. Now, in the South Tripura district, we have launched the E-office, making it the first district where we have initiated a district-level paperless e-office system."

The newly introduced e-office system is expected to bring a range of benefits, such as enhanced efficiency and transparency in storing data and files. Chief Minister Saha expressed intentions to extend its implementation to sub-divisional and panchayat levels, ensuring that the benefits of paperless administration reach various levels of government.

In a related event, during the closing ceremony of the State-Level Wildlife Week celebration held at Joychandpur School Ground in South Tripura district, Chief Minister Saha underscored the importance of conserving the state's ecological system.

As part of the event, he released butterflies into the enclosure at the Butterfly Garden within Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary. This gesture emphasized the delicate balance of the ecosystem, highlighting the need for preservation.

CM Saha also inspected the Butterfly Park, which is a major tourist attraction known for its butterfly breeding facilities.

During his passionate speech on ecological conservation, Chief Minister Saha emphasized Tripura's rich biodiversity, emphasizing that the state is covered by 73 percent forest. He noted that while Tripura was once home to numerous wild animals, many species are now on the verge of endangerment, both within the state and worldwide.

He stressed the importance of maintaining ecological balance to address issues such as animals venturing into human habitats and damaging trees due to deforestation. Chief Minister Saha mentioned that even elephants straying onto roads have led to unfortunate incidents. Ensuring that these animals receive the necessary facilities in their natural habitats is essential.

In conclusion, he emphasized that preserving both the animals and the forests is vital, as the forest plays a critical role in maintaining ecological balance and providing oxygen to support human life.

Additionally, CM Saha called upon the community, particularly students, to visit wildlife sanctuaries in the state. He announced that the education department would consider making such visits mandatory for students, further emphasizing the state's commitment to ecological preservation and sustainable development.

The event was attended by Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, MLA Swapna Majumder, Secretary Industry and Commerce Kiran Gitte, Principal Secretary and PCCF K S Sethi, and Additional PCCF, demonstrating unified support for the state's dedication to ecological preservation and sustainable development.
