She has completed her M.sc in Zoology from Cotton College in 2003.

Career and politics:

She is the President of Bharatiya Janata MahilaMorcha (BJMM) of Dima Hasao District. She is also an Executive member of NCHAC, Dima HasaoIn-Charge of Elementary and Higher education, Archaeology and IT cell (Dima Hasao). Presently she is going to contest the 2021 Assam Assembly Election from Haflong Constituency against Nirmal Langthasa of the Indian National Congress (INC).
