Pijush Hazarika from Jagiroad: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Pijush Hazarika is the son of Late Sisu Ram Hazarika and Pramila Hazarika. He is 43 years old, resident of Marakalong, Assam. In 2011, he married actress Aimee Baruah and they are blessed with two children, one son and one daughter.

Education:

1. He passed his H.S.L.C (Matric) from Central Dharamtul Motiram Borah Higher Secondary School, in 1993.
2. He passed his Class 12 (Higher Secondary) from Nagoan Ananda Ram DhekialPhukan College in 1995.
3. He did his B.A from Arya Vidyapeeth College in 1998.

Career and Political Life:

He is the sitting MLA from Jagiroad and a Minister of State for Health and Urban Development. In the 2016 Assam Legislative Elections, he defeated Bibekananda Dalai of the Indian National Congress party by securing 94550 total votes and Bibekananda Dalai secured 66224 votes. Pijush Hazarika won with 28326 margin votes on a BJP ticket.
