Dipu Choudhury is the son of Late Narendra Choudhury. He is 58 years of age and is a resident of Bhakarivita, Ward no. 17 in the Bongaigaon District of Assam. He is married to Pranita Choudhury.
He is Class X (H.S.L.C) pass from Birjhora H.S High School, Bongaigaon in the year 1979.
Dipu Choudhuri is one of the key contestants for the Bongaigaon Vidhan Sabha Election 2021. He will be fighting on an Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) ticket. He will be taking on AGP's heavyweight and 7 times MLA Phani Bhusan Choudhury (he has been winning the Bongaigaon seat since 1985 till 2016) and INC's Shankar Prasad Rai.
He is the President of Assam Chambers of Commerce, Bongaigaon district committee, and Chairman of Bongaigaon Municipality.
