  2. 2.In 2001 Election, Madan Kalita of the INC party became the winner by securing 45125 votes and defeated Alaka Sarma of the AGP party who got 30489 votes.
  3. 3.In 2006, Alaka Sharma of the AGP party was the winner with 55104 votes and defeated Madan Kalita of INC who secured 40489 votes.
  4. 4.In 2011 Election Jayanta Malla Baruah of INC became winner by securing 39896 votes and Alaka Sarma of AGP became the runner up with 31673 votes.
