Chapaguri Assembly Constituency is a locality in Bongaigaon district located in Assam. It falls under KokrajharLok Sabha Assembly. It is situated in the lower part of Assam. It is reserved for the Scheduled tribes(ST).

Chapaguri belongs to the Constituency number of 63 of the 126 constituencies of the legislative assembly of Assam in India. It falls under KokrajharLok Sabha Constituency.ThaneswarBasumatary, of the BPF party, won the Vidhansabha election in 2016, with the maximum number of votes and the runner up was Sujan Das of IND party.

Parliamentary constituency:

Kokrajhar Parliamentary constituency is one of the 14 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Assam state in north-eastern India.It consists of 10 assembly segments i.e. Gossaigaon, Kokrajhar West (ST), Kokrajhar East (ST), Sdli (ST), Bijni, Sorbhog, Bhabanipur, Tamulpur, Barama (ST) and Chapaguri (ST). Naba Kumar Saraniaof IND party in the Lok Sabha election of 2019 won with 4,84,560 votes and the runner up was Pramila Rani Brahma of BPF party. The number of votes with which IND won the elections of 2019 is37,786 votes.

District:

It lies in the Bongaigaondistrict itself and occupies an area of 14 km2 and with a population of 1,29,894numbers. It is a huge area with a sex ratio of 961 per 1000 male.

Chapaguri is an assembly constituency from Assam and the latest election was held in 2016. In the Vidhansabha election of 2016, MLA of Chapaguri Assembly Constituency is Thaneswar Basumatary of BPOF party.

The total population of the Chapaguri Assembly Constituency is 2506of which 1096are males and 992 are females.
