Guwahati: Proud Moment for India! Assam Boxer Jamuna Boro reaches 54kg semifinals by defeating Ursula Gottlob of Germany at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Ulan Ude, Russia on Thursday.
Earlier, in the 54-kg category, Jamuna Boro stunned former world champion Ouidad Sfouh 5-0 in the pre-quarterfinal match. The 22-year-old boxer, participating at the Worlds for the first time, dominated the bout as her punches were more accurate than the Algerian boxer on a consistent basis during the entire duration of the match.
It’s a proud moment for the entire nation as Boxer Jamuna Boro ensures the 3rd medal in the World Women Boxing Championship 2019 in Russia.
