Buenos Aires: Argentine investigators raided the home of Diego Maradona's psychiatrist on Tuesday.

Prosecutors, with a judicial order, carried out searches in the house and the private office of Agustina Cosachov in Buenos Aires, as they had carried out on Sunday with the properties of Maradona's personal doctor Leopoldo Luque.

Dr Luque has not been charged. He denies any wrongdoings.

However, his daughters have pressed for details about their father's medication.

Some 30 police officers raided the house of Dr Luque's house on Sunday morning- with 20 more into his clinic.

The raids were ordered by prosecutors trying to build a picture of Maradona's last days at home.

"These are routine measures when investigating the causes of death of a patient," said Cosachov's lawyer, Vadim Mischanchuk. According to him, these are normal because they are looking for medical history on telephones and computers only.

Maradona, who had fought a long battle with his addiction, died of a heart attack at the age of 60 last week after having undergone a brain surgery earlier in November for a blood clot.

There are suspicions that the star's convalescence at home might not have met the conditions of his discharge from the clinic, such as a 24-hour team of nurses "specialised in substance abuse", the on-call presence of doctors and a stand-by ambulance equipped with a defibrillator.

The World Cup winner's death has a ripple effect around the globe and drew an outpouring of grief from Argentina to Naples, Italy.

Prosecutors are investigating possible "malpractice" and if necessary medical requirements for care were met, Mischanchuk added.

The doctors are the lead target of the prosecutors. The probe is aiming to look at possible wrongful death and medical negligence.

Maradona had retired from professional football in 1997, on his 37th birthday, during his second stint at Argentina giants Boca Juniors.
