Kumar Sanjay Krishna appointed as Chief Secretary of Assam

Guwahati: Kumar Sanjay Krishna, IAS (RR-1985), Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home, Political, Revenue and Disaster Management, Information and Public Relations and Printing & Stationary Departments is appointed as Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam with effect from the date of taking over charge vice Alok Kumar, IAS (RR-1984) retiring on superannuation on December 31, 2019.

Kumar Sanjay Krishna was also the Deputy Commissioner of the undivided Kamrup district.

Kumar, under deputation, also held important portfolios in the Central Ministry.

He is known for his able leadership qualities and at a time when the Assam is going through a tough situation.
