Guwahati: The Indian Air Force has shot down a Pakistan Air Force F-16 fighter jet which had violated Indian air space in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Air Defence System has been activated by India and its radars are on high vigil to thwart any aggression from Pakistan. The situation between India and Pakistan continues to be tense as world community has appealed to exercise restrain.
Sources said that a parachute was seen as the F-16 went down and the pilot's condition is still unknown.
