Lanka: Based on secret information, Lanka police under the aegis of Additional Superintendent of Police Suman Chakraborty, a police team joined by ASI Abu Bakkar Siddique and others recovered one .22 pistol along with three rounds of live ammunition and six numbers of .32 mm live ammunition from the residence of one Mohammad Shejuddin (35).
Mohammad Shejuddin (35) son of Samsuddin Ali is a resident of village Bordolong under Lanka Police Station under Hojai District.
It is to be noted that, Addl SP Chakraborty along with his team rushed to the spot and searched the house and premises of said Mohammad Shejuddin.
During the search operation, the police team recovered one .22 pistol along with 3 numbers of .22 mm live ammunition with a magazine and 6 nos. 32 mm live ammunition were recovered which were kept conceal in a boat at the premises of Mohammad Shejuddin, however, Mohammad Shejuddin managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
Meanwhile, the recovered weapons were seized in the presence of the eyewitnesses.
