GUWAHATI: Eleven Gaon Burahs of South Salmara were grilled by the Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell (CMSVC) here on Thursday in connection with the illegal appointment of village headmen.
It may be mentioned that the on September 30, 2021, the CMSVC had filed a case (No 05/2021) under sections 120B/420/468/471 of the IPC R/W Sec 13(1) (a)/13(2) PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 in connection with the illegal appointment case of 78 Gaon Burahs in South-Salmara Mankachar district during 2017-18.
