GUWAHATI: The 15-day Ethnic Cultural Integration and Exchange Campaign currently underway at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra entered its tenth day on Saturday. Like the previous days, the tenth day event began with a yogasana-pranayama training session for the participants. Prominent playback singer, musician and composer Tarali Sarma delivered a lecture on the topic "Source of music creation and its role in shaping a reformed society" at the Dr Banikanta Kakati auditorium. She also held an interaction session with the participants during the 75-minute lecture programme.

The noted singer in her lecture mentioned that everybody's heartbeat is considered to be the best music in the world and gave an idea of the definition of music as well as the origins of music creation. She explained about the close relationship between nature and music, the combination of the seven colours of the rainbow with the seven melodies of music. The speaker concluded with an illustration of how each and every moment of a person's life is involved in the melody of music and the elements of creativity.

During the Q&A (Question-and-Answer) session at the end of the lecture, some of the trainees posed questions on the topic of the lecture which were answered by the celebrated artist to everyone's satisfaction.
