GUWAHATI: Under the undergraduate (UG) programmes, there are 149760 students admitted to government and provincialized colleges under the universities of the state. The High Education Department informed that the UG programme admission took place under the SAMARTH e-gov portal.
The figures in the UG programmes excludes private and venture schools. The Education Minister, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, took to Twitter to inform, “We will provide the free online admission service to all private colleges, including the venture colleges, starting next year. However, other services shall be available from this year itself.”
