GUWAHATI: Personnel of the Crime Branch and Guwahati police on Monday arrested two persons, including the owner of mobile phone repairing centre named Abdul Taufiq and a thief named Rahul Sutradhar alias Bitu Sutrdhar, and recovered 18 stolen mobile phones.
According to police sources, a raid was initially carried out at Taufiq's business premises in connection with a mobile phone stolen from the Fatasil-Ambari area here. The police discovered the specific mobile phone along with 14 other stolen mobile phones. Subsequently, Taufiq disclosed that he had been supplied with the stolen mobile phones by Sutradhar. A raid at Sutradhar's house led to the recovery of three more stolen mobile phones, the sources added.
