GUWAHATI: As many as 67 murder cases were registered in Guwahati in 2023 in various police stations under the Police Commissionerate. The police arrested 81 of 97 accused in the murder cases.
According to data provided by the police, 74 murder cases were registered in 2019, 52 murder cases in 2020, 62 murder cases in 2021, and 74 murder cases in 2022.
On the other hand, only four dacoity cases were registered in police stations in Guwahati. 12 dacoity cases were registered in 2019, 10 dacoity cases in 2020, 5 dacoity cases in 2021, and 7 dacoity cases in 2022.
