GUWAHATI: Amidst the surge in COVID-19 infections across the State, a total of 694 infected persons have been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital between January 1 and January 22.
The patients include 538 vaccinated persons and 156 non-vaccinated persons. Of the vaccinated persons, 58 persons had taken one dose of the vaccine and 480 persons were double vaccinated.
As much as 20.75% patients are from the 21-30 age group, sources said. The next highest affected age group was 51-60 with 15.56% . The 61-70 age group is third with 13.54%. the 31-40 age group registered 13.11% patients; the 41-50 age group registered 10.37% patients; the 71-80 age group registered 9.94% patients; the 11-20 age group registered 8.50% patients; the 0-10 age group registered 5.19% patients; and the above-81-years group registered 2.88% patients at the GMCH.
