GUWAHATI: The 7th edition of the Chalachitram National Film Festival (CNFF) will begin on Saturday, and it will be inaugurated by Professor Piyush Roy. The performance of ‘Bandemataram’ by Prerona Bhuyan will be the first presentation. And a documentary by Rajendra Janglei based on Padma Shri Durgabai will mark the beginning of the festival.
Multiple short films and documentaries of national and international fame will be showcased at this event. Multiple interaction sessions with experts from the field will also be a part of the event. “Reminiscence of Gangor” by Sudip Suhni will also be a part of this festival, as will “Okoman” by Pranjal K. Saikia, which was showcased in several national and international film festivals.
