8 Bangladeshi Nationals apprehended at Railway Station in Guwahati, Forged Aadhaar Cards Recovered

Guwahati: Ahead of the Phase-III general elections to the Lok Sabha, Government Railway Police (GRP) along with Border Police apprehended at least eight Bangladeshi nationals at Guwahati Railway Station on Monday at around 2 pm.

The apprehended Bangladeshi national were identified as Akram Hussain (19) son of Jainal Abedin, village Holodia, Dilwar Hussain (19) son of Lt. Jafaruddin, village Korolia Takia, Rubel Hussain (19) son of Late Sultan Mia, village Uttar Jalanti, Kamal Hussain (20) son of Late Samsul Haque, village Uttar Jalanti, Manir Hussain (21) son of Nurul Islam, village Bagan Bazar, Abu Taher (18) son of Rafiqul Islam, village Korolia Takia, Sobuj Hussain (19) son of Late Yusuf Ali, village Uttar Jalanti, Manir Hussain (18) son of Alamgir, village Hatirkheda, all are of PO Chikoncherra, PS Bhojpur, Dist. Chittagong, Bangladesh.

As per Government Railway Police sources, they were waiting to board in Down Chennai Express train.

It is to be noted that as per their statements, the above Bangladeshi nationals entered into the territory of India through Agartala border on April 20 & boarded in Guwahati bound bus on the next day & arrived Guwahati today morning.

GRP also recovered Aadhaar cards from their possession.

Speaking to the media, GRP claimed it to be forged. They also recovered some mobile phones with Sim cards of Bangladesh.
