A tribute to Puspa Gogoi

Puspa Gogoi was born in the year 1959 in Diphu, Karbi Anglong. She was the second daughter of her parents. Her father left for the heavenly abode when she was very young and hence she was raised by a single mother Mrs. Gandhari Gogoi. She had one younger brother and two sisters. She grew up in Dharamnala, Diphu and did her schooling in LP school. She did her BA and LLB from Diphu College and started her career in 1996 as an advocate in the district judiciary of Karbi Anglong. Thereafter she moved to Gauhati High Court and joined as an advocate in Government panel. In her tenure as a lawyer, she has handled many criminal, land, company and family dispute cases. She was a disciplinarian and believed highly on hygiene and cleanliness. She was also into devotion for God and performed many pujas from time to time at home and temples like Nabagraha, Dol Govindo, Kamakhya etc. She was a kind hearted lady. She did her LLM (Masters in Law) from Gauhati University post practicing law for more than 20 years. She has left this world on 19th Jan 3:00 am leaving behind her husband Mr. Girin Bhuyan and two daughters, Mrs. Mayuri Bhuyan (married to Mr. Gaurav Swami) & Ms. Meenakshi Bhuyan. Her family misses her a lot and hopes that she's in a happy place now. We miss you & love you Maa.
