NEW DELHI: The Assam Association Delhi has organized an interaction session of the Assamese community residing here with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Minister of State (in-charge) Sports & Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju at the Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan here from 6 pm to 8 pm on February 4. Later a community feast would also be held on the occasion. The AAD has also decided to organise Rongali Bihu-2020 on April 19, 2020.

Magh Bihu was celebrated at Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan on January 19 with multi-dimensional activities including sports, art competition, and cultural programme. The Magh Bihu edition souvenir "Smayik" magazine was released during the event. Results of various competitions held were also announced. Magh Bihu was also celebrated at Dwarka on January 13. The Asom Tribal Sewa Samittee also celebrated Magh Bihu at Dwarka on January 19, and the Republic Day at Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan on January 26.
Saraswati Puja was held at Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan on January 29 by the Assamese women's community. The puja was also celebrated at Sewa Kutir here. The AAD also condoled the sudden demise of Dr Ashok Bhagawati whp was a 'Life Member of AAD'.
