GUWAHATI: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a joint meeting for the spokespersons and publicity cell members of both parties with the aim of forming a combined steering group for the collaboration between the parties.
This important combined meeting was attended by several members of both parties and came to a conclusion after conducting a workshop of the spokespersons and the members of the publicity cells of AGP, BJP and United People's Party Liberal. It was conducted by the general secretary of the Asom Gana Parishad, Manoj Saikia, after a previous meeting being conducted by the Bharatiya Janata Party with the same goals at their state office.
Apart from the decision to organise the third meeting in the presence of the United People's Party Liberal members, it was also decided that a daily virtual meeting would be organised to discuss the regular work and to prepare an action plan towards the goal. The participants also decided to spread awareness about the various steps taken by the state government under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to ensure the speedy development of the state. To maintain a better understanding between both political parties, the creation of a steering group was decided during this meeting.
The meeting was attended by the General Secretaries and MLA Pallab Lochan Das and Dipluranjan Sharma, Chief Spokesperson Manoj Baruah, Member of Parliament Pabitra Margherita, Convenor of Media Cell, Dhrubajyoti Moral and several other members of the BJP. From the AGP, General Secretary Probin Hazarika, Bhupen Roy, Vice President Dilip Patgiri, Sunil Deka, Publicity Secretary Dr Tapan Das and several other spokespersons and members attended the meeting.
