Airports Authority of India employees distribute food items among flood-hit

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees of the north-eastern region have come forward to help the families

GUWAHATI: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees of the north-eastern region have come forward to help the families which have been badly affected by floods. Employees of AAI, Guwahati Airport have started distributing food relief materials from August 5 in several localities near the airport.

A truck carrying flood relief was flagged off by the Regional Executive Director (officiating) J.T. Radhakrishna, General Managers and Employees union representatives of the AAI. Members of the union actively participated in the flood relief distribution programme. The areas covered included Guimara and Simna areas of Kamrup which have are badly affected by floods. It has covered around 400 families in the area and AAI has aimed to reach over 1,000 families.
