GUWAHATI: The All Assam Law Students Association (AALSA) condemned the lynching of Debashish Gogoi and demanded stringent action against the culprits. The AALSA expressed their condolences to family of the deceased who was lynched by an angry mod at Gabhoru Parbat in Mariani, Jorhat.

"In a State where such a wide variety of people from different religion, caste, and creed stay together peacefully, such an act of crime is a disgrace for us. In today's date, such an act cannot be given a place in our society. We request the Government and Police Administrative Department to intervene and take strict measures regarding this incident, which will set an example for the people not to commit such atrocious and horrendous crimes," said AALSA president Kishore Kalita.
