GUWAHATI: The All Guwahati Students' Union (AGSU) staged a protest against the price hike crisis at the Judges filed here on Tuesday. It has demanded the district administration to constitute a task force to nab the unscrupulous traders who are taking advantage of the pandemic situation. Mentioning their demands, the students' body also submitted a memorandum to the Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner following the demonstration.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has paralyzed the people economically. Due to this crisis, a section of unscrupulous traders are bashing the people by earning profits," said AGSU president Anwar Hussain.

Further, demanding the government to control the price hike crisis, the AGSU stated that it will stage intense agitations with the support of the people if the government fails to control the situation. It is to be noted that the protest was staged by following the COVID-19 protocols.
