GUWAHATI: The Regional News Unit of All India Radio Guwahati has found a unique way to engage people in a healthy and constructive ways during the lockdown. Apart from airing news and special COVID-19 program, the unit has found innovative method to connect to listeners through quiz. The News Editor Manas Pratim Sarma said that till date eight quiz events have been organized to keep the listeners engage in a positive direction. "We received a very good response and it is very motivating and positive. Thousands of people took part in the program," Sarma added.

The quiz was organized during COVID-19 special DRISTIPAT program. The Assam police, CID, NHM, ASDMA, Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission, Education department and Sports Authority of Assam partnered with All India Radio in this effort. The special DRISTIPAT program on COVID-19 has also given a scope to listeners to interact with guests. On Sunday, the last episode of the quiz programme was broadcasted in association with My Gov Assam. Over thousand quizzers, radio listeners took part in the events. Meanwhile, the daily program at 1.30 pm titled Pratirodh is also giving up to date information to listeners on the pandemic.
