GUWAHATI: Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation Ltd. (ALPCL) chairman Manoj Saikia took stock of the problems faced by the livestock farmers due to lockdown, on Saturday. Saikia visited livestock farms in the Bonda, Panikhaiti, Chandrapur, Hatibagora and Govardhan and interacted with the farmers. A team of veterinary doctors and officers also went along with Saikia. The chairman held a meeting with the livestock farmers and the team of doctors and officers at Bonda and later visited the farms in the aforementioned areas. He directed the officers to address the problems of the farmers immediately. Further, he asked the doctors to stay in contact with farmers for the well being of their livestock.
