GUWAHATI: In view of helping the livestock farmers affected by the recent floods, two animal therapy camps were organized at Chandrapur and Sunsali by the Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation Ltd. (ALPCL) chairman Manoj Saikia in association with the Asom Poshucikitsa Seva Santha, Kamrup Division.
ALPCL chairman Manoj Saikia inaugurated the two of the camps. Many livestock farmers brought their cattle and goats for treatment. This apart, they were provided with free medicines and vaccination. Saikia interacted with the farmers individually to understand their problems. The people coming to the camp appreciated the initiative of the Veterinary Department.
Besides Saikia, District Veterinary Officer Dr. Arun Sarma, Veterinary Officer Dr. Balen Deka, Dr. Shankar Prasad Lahkar, Dr. Pranjit Baruah, Dr. Bijay Das, Dr. Chandan Sarania, Dr. Tapan Das, Dr. Hemanta Deka, Dr. Hrishi Sonowal and many others were present in the camps.
