Ruling political party leaders are engaging their fellow party workers to mentally harass the Congress candidates and even at some places gherao the houses of INC (Indian National Congress) contesting candidates and are mounting tremendous pressure on them to withdraw their nominations."
Which is still going on as reported.
Moreover, Bhattacharjee alleged in his letter, supporters of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are asking voters to take a photo with their mobile phones while casting their votes, to substantiate their support to the BJP.
"It is totally against the procedure of election and it will have to be stopped," the Congress leader wrote while requesting the SEC to direct the local administrations not to allow the voters to carry mobile phones or any such digital device inside the polling station, in accordance with election guidelines and the Model Code of Conduct.
