Asom Gana Parishad sounds poll bugle for Lok Sabha polls 2024

Through the general council meeting, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) sounded the poll bugle for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024.

GUWAHATI: Through the general council meeting, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) sounded the poll bugle for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024. After the final delimitation of Assembly constituencies and parliamentary constituencies, the first general council meeting of the AGP was organized at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium in Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra, Guwahati, on Monday.

The meeting was attended by around 800 delegates from various parts of the state.

In the meeting, the regional party AGP decided to work diligently for the upcoming elections and make them a success. In addition, AGP decided to create a nine-tier organizational structure for the party, from top to bottom.

In the meeting, the general council of the AGP decided to extend the tenure of party president Atul Bora and the central executive committee for another six months.

Talking to the media, Atul Bora said, “AGP is standing firm and will work with the BJP alliance government towards the development of the people. The meeting was attended by the working president of AGP, Keshab Mahanta, senior leader Phanibhushan Chowdhury, vice presidents of the central committee, general secretaries, office bearers, and others.
