Assam Association condoles demise of 16 persons due to COVID from State in Delhi

The Assam Association Delhi has condoled the demise of several people including those from Assam during the pandemic.

NEW DELHI: The Assam Association Delhi has condoled the demise of several people including those from Assam during the pandemic. It has published a number of obituaries in the May 2021 issue of the organization's monthly newsletter — 'Jogajog'.

The Association has further decided to establish a COVID Health Centre at the Srimanta Sankaradev Bhawan in Delhi; and also arrange the facility of 'Oxygen ATM' for the SOS COVID-19 patients from Northeast in Delhi.

The press statement issued by Dibyojit Dutta of the Association offered obituaries and tributes to the following "colleagues and friends who had to leave us forever due to the ongoing second wave of COVID pandemic", namely Dr Alakesh Baruah; Sanjib Phukan and Moni Phukan; Kalyan Baruah and Neelakshi Bhattacharyya; Mridul Bhuyan; Amiyo Bezbaruah; Dr Dimbeswar Bora; Col Ajit Dutta and Anuradha Dutta; Dr Satyapriya Baruah; Bandana Dutta; Utpal Senapati; Dr Rajorshri Kalita; Dr Joyeeta Bhattacharyya; and Dr Pankaj Kr Medhi.
