GUWAHATI: In an incident near Udalguri, forest officials were subjected to a brutal attack at Swarang Bazar. The Assam Forest Employees' Union has strongly condemned the assault, demanding immediate and decisive action from authorities.
President Homen Pegu and General Secretary Rahul Bora issued a statement expressing their outrage over the incident. They called upon the Assam Chief Minister, the Minister of Forest and Environment, and the Principal Chief Conservator to take robust measures against the perpetrators and ensure the proper treatment of all the injured officials.
The Assam Forest Employees' Union has urged the authorities to prioritize the safety and well-being of forest officials and ensure that measures are in place to prevent such incidents in the future.
