GUWAHATI: With firm resolve to achieve a state GDP of Rs 5.5 lakh crore in 2023-24, the state budget is on expected lines, taking care of all sections of society, making the budget all inclusive, said former chairman of FINER, R S Joshi in a press release. The budget is a further thrust in the ongoing development journey in a balanced approach to allocating resources for agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, MSME's, welfare schemes for rural and urban populations, self-employment schemes, and of course committed government jobs. As a whole, the budget is good on all accounts except for one: burgeoning establishment expenditure, which needed to be rationalized, the release added.
