Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Inaugurates 3 Foot Over Bridge (FOB) in Guwahati

The three-foot over bridges built by PWD under SOPD Fund is located at Adabari-AT Road, Boripara-AT Road, and Shukreshwar Temple.

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday inaugurated three, modern foot overbridges (FOB) in Guwahati.

The three-foot ovr bridges built by PWD under SOPD Fund is located at Adabari-AT Road, Boripara-AT Road and Shukreshwar Temple.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Assam Chief Minister wrote, "As our modest gift to city of Guwahati on completion of #100Days of our Govt, I along with @TheAshokSinghal, @oja_queen & @SBhttachrya dedicated three foot overbridges to people. Built at Rs 28 cr, these state-of-art FOBs at Adabari, Boripara and Sukreswar will help pedestrians."

GDD Minister Ashok Singhal, MP Queen Oja, MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya were present at the occasion.

The Adabari-AT Road foot over bridge measuring 28 metres has been constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crore 38 lakhs. The construction began in February 2020 and the job ended on 30th July 2021.

The Boripara-AT Road foot over bridge measuring 28 metres has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 9 crores 70 lakh. The construction started in February 2020 and the job ended on 30th July 2021.

The Shukreshwar footbridge at Mahatma Gandhi Road is constructed at a cost of Rs. 7 crores 98 lakh and measures 19.70 metres. The construction started for the Sukreshwar FOB in June 2020 and the job ended on 30th July 2021.
