Assam Cultural Affairs Department organizes Summer Workshops

GUWAHATI: In order to ensure the mental and intellectual growth of the children of the state, the cultural affairs department of the state has undertaken summer workshops across the state. Workshops have been organised in the four legislative assemblies of the city.

In the Hahara High School located in Sonapur under the Dispur constituency, Karbi and Tiwa traditional dance workshops have been organised, while Tukari Geet and Diha Naam workshops have been undertaken in the Pritirekha Arts and Cultural School in Hengerabari. Satriya Dance is being taught at the Parijiat Academy, and drama at Betkuchi High School comes under the West Guwahati constituency. A recitation workshop has been arranged at the Pagari Silpi Sangha and Kamrupiya folksong and lullaby workshops in the Guwahati Commerce College in the East Guwahati Constituency. A drama workshop has been organised in the Kamakha Higher Secondary School in the Jalukbari constituency.
