GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi greeted the people on eve of the country's Constitution Day or Samvidhan Divas.

Paying rich tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr. B.R Ambedkar, the Governor said, "We must strive to generate greater awareness about the Constitution and the rights and duties it endows on us. We need to bear in mind that we the citizens for whom the Constitution has been framed are not really aware that the Constitution is really for us and it is the guiding light for our forward march".

Through a release, the Governor said, "I can state with pride that we have a constitution that is robust, comprehensive, stable and dynamic enough to realize the aspirations of our people. Therefore, it is we the people of this country who are responsible to cherish the constitutional goals and adopt it as our way of life and make India a proud democracy in the world. Let us make resolve on the eve of the Constitution Day to make our Constitution our way of life."
