Assam Governor, Patowary condoles death of former Chattisgarh CM Ajit Jogi

Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi condoled the death of veteran leader and former Chief Minister of Chattisgarh

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi condoled the death of veteran leader and former Chief Minister of Chattisgarh Ajit Jogi who died on Friday. In a statement, Prof. Mukhi said, "Saddened to know the death of leader Ajit Jogi a veteran leader who championed the cause of politics with an undertone of people's development".

"My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and I pray to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul", the Governor added.

Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary has also condoled the demise of former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

In a condolence statement, the Minister said, 'Ajit Jogi was a leader of the masses. The first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh will be remembered for his advocacy for the poor and the marginalized people. His contribution to uplift the causes of the tribal communities will be remembered by generations.'

The Minister also extended his condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.
