GUWAHATI: The Assam government is mulling on a new rule for providing licenses for home delivery of liquor by wine shops in Guwahati.

If reports are believed to be true, then this could be implemented in the Guwahati in the next Standard Operating Protocol (SOP).

However, it is not clear as of now how much an individual person can order and also how the state government will deal with the identification of a person by its age.

Earlier the Meghalaya Government also approved a new rule for providing licenses for home delivery of liquor by wine shops in the state.

Meghalaya Cabinet Minister James K Sangma said the state cabinet has approved a proposal regarding this and decided to introduce a new rule under the Meghalaya Excise Rules on license for home delivery of liquor.

This is a developing story.
