GUWAHATI: Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) donated Rs. 10 lakh to the Assam Arogya Nidhi on Monday as its commitment to stand by the people of Assam in their fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The cheque of the said amount was handed over to Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Minister for Finance, Health and Family Welfare, PWD, Education, etc, by the Chairman of the Bank, Upendra Sabar at the office of National Health Mission, Guwahati, a press release said.
Ramkrishna Sarma, Regional Manager, Guwahati region and Dipankar Baruah, Chief Manager, Personnel of the Bank were also present on the occasion. Receiving the cheque, Dr. Sarma thanked the Bank for its proactive participation in the hour of crisis and its commitment towards the people of Assam, the release said.
