Assam Medical Service Association to review OPD bandh programme today

The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA) will take a decision on the agitational programme in its executive council meeting to be held on Thursday.

GUWAHATI: The Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA) will take a decision on the agitational programme in its executive council meeting to be held on Thursday.

In a press statement, AMSA general secretary Dr Kanak Chandra Talukdar said the association will review its stand on the agitational programme following state health minister Keshab Mahanta's directive to the officials for implementation of the demand charter of the association.

A delegation of AMSA has called Mahanta on Tuesday at Dispur and discussed about 14-charter of demand of the organization.

Earlier, the AMSA as part of its agitational programme has called for OPD bandh on October 19.

The AMSA has also announced total OPD bandh programme on October 26, 27and 28 and November 1, 2 and 3.
