Assam: Online photography exhibition in September

The Photography Club of Assam is going to host its first-ever online photography exhibition from the second week

GUWAHATI: The Photography Club of Assam is going to host its first-ever online photography exhibition from the second week of September.

The photography exhibition, POHOR DIGITAL 2020, will have national and international participants. Considering the ongoing health hazard due to COVID-19 and adhering to government's directive, the club has decided to abandon the usual print exhibition that had been organized for the last seven years with huge response from the audience. The last date for participants to submit their entry is August 20.

According to a press release issued by the Club, the photography exhibition will have cash reward of Rs. 15,000 to win in five different categories. The website will be available for public viewing throughout the year from the date of its launch.

Photography Club of Assam is one of India's leading clubs in this field with more than 1 lakh online members. "We have nearly 8,000 registered members from various parts of the country out of which more than 1,000 are life members. The club has been awarded with many best club titles by different national level photography contests every year. We are providing a learning platform to the young and talented photographer of Assam as well as other parts of the nation," the release said.
