Assam Power Minister Assures Uninterrupted Power Supply

GUWAHATI: Sports & Youth Welfare, Cultural Affairs, Power, Tourism Minister Bimal Bora who represents the Tingkhong constituency took charge of his office at Janata Bhawan.

Further speaking on the occasion, the minister said that in this pandemic the government will ensure that people of the state get uninterrupted power supply and will make the state power department more advanced towards a better direction in coming days.

Speaking on the other departments- Sports & Youth Welfare and Cultural Affairs, the minister said that the pandemic has made a huge impact and has become completely non-functional. Henceforth in the coming days, the state government has chalked out a plan to revive the said departments.

The government is also considering plans to provide assistance to the people of the cultural fraternity like the previous year. Meanwhile, the tourism department has also incurred huge losses as tourist inflow has been stopped completely due to this pandemic, however, the revival of this department can only be ascertained post COVID pandemic.
