Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will organize a crucial executive meeting on April 2.

GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will organize a crucial executive meeting on April 2. The party source revealed that it will discuss the circumstances created by Rahul Gandhi’s recent disqualification from the Lok Sabha. The meeting will also discuss the prevalent struggle against corruption and burning issues like price hike.

APCC President Bhupen Bora has asked all the Congress MPs, MLAs and executive members of Assam to be present in the meeting.

On the other hand, All India Congress Committee (AICC) President has approved the proposal of appointing Office Bearers and District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents in APCC with immediate effect. AICC appointed Guna Kanta Gogoi as Vice President, Tamal Kanti Banik as General Secretary, Debojit Borpujari as Secretary and Rajat Chakravarty, Samsuddin Barlaskar, Abhijit Pal and Nabajyoti Talukdar as DCC Presidents for Karimganj, Hailakandi, Silchar and Guwahati respectively.
