GUWAHATI: The Secondary Education Department has constituted a committee to examine the need for necessary amendments to the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) Service Rules, 2018 and the Assam Secondary Education (Government Schools) Service Rules, 2020 and also drafting of the Voluntary Teachers Act.
The committee will examine the need for amendments to fill temporary vacancies arising out of a period of absence of teachers due to various kinds of leave or other reasons. The committee has been constituted with the following members – SEBA Chairman RC Jain – Chairman; Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Secondary Education Department SN Chowdhury – Member; Director of Secondary Education Phanindra Jidung – Member; Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam, Secondary Education Department SN Das – Member-Secretary; and Kamrup Metro Inspector of Schools Prasanna Bora –Member.
