Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association hails TE-run school provincialization

Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) welcomed the government provincializing 422 Tea Estate-run schools.

GUWAHATI: Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) welcomed the government provincializing 422 Tea Estate-run schools. ATTSA President Dhiraj Gowala said this is a historic step that will raise the level of education in the tea garden areas. Gowala demands that the government give preference to the TET-qualified candidates of the tea community in the newly provincialized schools. With the provincialization of these schools, the students will get a midday meal under PM-POSHAN, free textbooks, and free uniforms.
