GUWAHATI: Assam Bank Working Hours in Covid Pandemic: The bank branches across Assam will remain open from 9 am to 1 pm from June 1, stated a release from the State Bank of India (SBI). The instructions were announced by the Chief General Manager, SBI (NE Circle), and Convenor of State Level Banker's Committee (SLBC), Assam in consultation with the State Government in view of the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in the State. The instructions have been conveyed to all the member banks of the SLBC Assam to follow the new timings. The customers can avail of the selective essential services of Cash Deposits and Withdrawal, Government Transactions, Clearing of Cheques, and Remittance during these new banking hours. The new timings will be in force till of June 5 which will be followed by all the banks in the State.
Further, as per the list of bank holidays on its official website: rbi.org.in, there are three bank holidays in the month of June 2021.
However, other than these three holidays, banks in India will also remain closed for six more days (weekly holidays). Therefore, banks will remain shut for a total of nine days in June 2021.

As per the Reserve bank of India, Indian Banks is going to remain closed for about forty days this year i.e. 2021. However, certain holidays will differ in various states and UT, depending on some state-specific occasions.
