Bharatiya Gana Parishad releases vision document

The Bharatiya Gana Parishad (BGP) on Sunday released its vision document for the forthcoming Assembly polls.

GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Gana Parishad (BGP) on Sunday released its vision document for the forthcoming Assembly polls.

Addressing a press meet here, BGP president Shyamal Sarkar stated that the party is contesting the polls to make the society free from corruption, agitation, exploitation, and pollution. The BGP will focus to spread communal harmony, give security to women, and also solve the unemployment crisis, Sarkar said. The party also stated that it has fielded candidates in 15 constituencies.

The candidates are – Swapan Paul from Tinsukia, Sanjay Dey from Dhekiajuli, Bikash Debnath from Naoboicha, Bishoy Chamak Goswami from Silchar, Manoj Mohan Deb from Hailakandi, Sudhendu Mohan Talukdar from Kalaigaon, Sukanta Mazumder from Jagiroad, Pranjit Bhowmick from Samaguri, Sujit Kumar Roy from Bongaigon, Satya Chandra Arjya from Bhabanipur, Rajiv Kumar Biswas from Boko, Shyamal Dutta from Chaygaon, Bapi Aich from Guwahati East, Avijit Chakraborty from Guwahati West, and Nirmala Das from Tamulpur. It is to be noted that the symbol for the BGP is a clay pot.
